Innovative problem solver during times of crisis

Built distance-learning process from the ground up, alongside four other colleagues, as a part of the school’s crisis team during COVID-19.

The goal was to build upon an existing yet not used Learning Management System (LMS) (MOODLE) that all teachers across all schools in this system can use for the unknown number of weeks or months classes would need to be conducted online because of COVID-19. My role was to seek out programs and platforms compatible in China, teach teachers and students how to use them, and encourage compliance.

Importance
This project was vital in allowing our school program to remain open during a crisis. If we had failed to implement a new system within this short time frame, our program would have closed in the middle of the school year leaving hundreds of students without access to education and possibly many teachers and administrators without a job.

Impact
Fortunately, we were able to implement a system with 100% teacher compliance, allowing the school to remain open during the crisis. No school days, teachers, or students were lost during this process.
